THE CL-PROJECTS STUDIO started with a few hardware synthesizers, effects modules and sequencers back in the 980's. The hardware sequencers were later replaced by a ommodore 64 computer running the Steinberg Pro-16 sequencing software which was very popular at the time. Later the Atari 1040ST computer came in the picture running the Steinberg Cubase Pro-24 software sequencer. This sequencer became the standdard in music production. In the following years a lot of hardware synthesizers were used in the studio. Too many to name them all but all the known brands were used, Roland, Korg, Yamaha to name a few.
THE CL-PROJECTS STUDIO was and still is an everchanging environment currently using a PC with the latest Steinberg Cubase DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Since february 2022 i decided to work mostly 'in the box' using a single hardware synthesizer and a lot of software synthesizers and effects in combination with hardware controllers. This software is of such high quality nowadays that you can not hear the difference between software and hardware synthesizers in a finished mix. But that's only my opinion. I collected a fair amount of software synthesizers and effects over the years, still adding new ones regularly.
